Transparent Status & Restoration Potential
The Phantor 10 000 was deployed for testing and field operation between 2019 and 2024 (including Dubai). Following two years of inactivity in desert climate conditions and transport damage during return transit to Linz (Q2 2024), the outer shell requires replacement:
- Casing & Cladding: Transport damage has distorted and destroyed key cladding panels.
- Surfaces: Stainless steel elements show surface rust.
- Interior: Interior contains sand and dust accumulation due to lack of positive pressure during static storage.
- Opportunity: Core components and control systems are intact. Following panel replacement, deep cleaning, and systematic component testing, the system provides a solid base for re-commissioning.
Operating History
- Q4 2019: Commissioning & 5 test days at the Rail Tec Arsenal Wind Tunnel in Vienna.
- Q1 2022 – Q2 2024: Stationed at Dubai “The Palm” (189h active operation in Q2 2022).
- Q2 2024: Transport back from Jebel Ali to Linz.
